Milton Keynes’ Bailey McConnell, who catapulted to fame after appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, met hundreds of besotted fans at a meet and greet in Westcroft’s Morrisons today.
The teenage singer-songwriter found out he was through to the semi-finals of the ITV talent show on Sunday and this week will perform live in front of millions of people in hope of securing a place in the competition’s final.
“It’s crazy and very overwhelming now the public know I am through to the semi-finals because obviously I knew before Sunday’s show was aired.” said the former MK Citizen paperboy.
“I had to keep my mouth shut because it was so confidential but then my Twitter went mental, absolutely ballistic, when I went through.
“When I was told it was such an emotional day with lots of highs and lows. It toyed with your emotions because you didn’t know if you were going to go through or not.
“It’s been great seeing how many people have turned up to support me today.
“Pretty much everyone in Milton Keynes has their #TeamBailey poster up - I’ve seen it everywhere, which is really good.”
