VIDEO: Roller-skating back the years at the Wolverton Agora

Waiting for Video...

QUADS and blade-runners made a return to the floors of the Agora Centre at the weekend.

After 23 years, the centre in Wolverton re-opened its doors to roller-skating thanks to the hard work of Keith Brown and Jerry McGrath, who helped launch the night back in the 1980s.

They said: “Friday night’s over 18s session was overwhelming with nearly 500 skaters turning up from near and far and our open session on Saturday was just as impressive. We even received messages of good luck from Europe, all from old skaters who couldn’t be there.”

The pair hope to open on a regular basis on Friday and Saturday nights in the future.
