Know someone who makes you feel proud? Now is the time to nominate them for a Pride in Milton Keynes award.

Last year Georgia Dunn, of the MK Netters earned the People’s Choice award for her tireless work in coaching a number of netball teams in the city.

But we’re sure there are numerous people who, like Georgia, deserve recognition and now’s your chance to do something about it.

This week we launch the Pride in Milton Keynes Awards 2013 with the search officially now on for the nominations – and we would like to attract the best response ever this year.

That’s because we know just how many people do amazing things away from the public spotlight.

This year readers can vote for their Pride in MK winners in 10 categories.

These include:

l Young Achiever of the year – sponsored by Marshall MK;

l Making MK Safer;

l Friendly Neighbour;

l Service with a Smile;

l Fundraiser of the Year;

l Excellence in Education – sponsored by University Campus Milton Keynes;

l Outstanding example of bravery – sponsored by Milton Keynes Christian Foundation;

l Care in the Community – sponsored by Ikea;
