Walking in an MK wonderland

SNOW and freezing conditions have hit Milton Keynes over the last week.

And our readers have been on hand to capture the beauty of the cold snap.

The animals at Woburn Safari Park – including lions, monkeys and zebras – were among those ’enjoying’ the icy conditions, while children at Busy Bees Nursery wrapped up warm to take part in fun snow activities.

The Milton Keynes Hospital based nursery’s manager Alana White said: “We thought we’d make the most of the situation that was presented to us and have fun in the snow. The children loved it as they’ve never seen it snow like this before, some have never seen snow at all.”

Children and staff made the most of the occasion by putting on their wellies and gloves to play in the snow. The kids enjoyed exploring icicles and making frost catchers, while staff talked to them about the different textures and feel of the ice.

Elsewhere reader Caroline Brown captured the wintry scene perfectly with her snaps of Campbell Park and Wolverton on Tuesday morning.

It’s all captured in our gallery – simply click on the link to the right to view it...
