Walton High students to perform ‘My Mother Said I Never Should’

PERFORMING arts students from Walton High are set to put on a play about the lives and times of four generations of women across the last century.

The students will perform ‘My Mother Said I Never Should’ at The Venue MK, based at the school in Fyfield Barrow, Walnut Tree on Tuesday, November 27.

The play, by Charlotte Keatley, starts at 7pm.

Oscar Wilde stated that ‘All women become their mothers, that is their tragedy,’ though in ‘My Mother Said I Never Should’, it is partly their comedy as well. It is play about four generations of women across the last century.

Humorously and compassionately, the play explores the emotional inheritance each woman receives from the other. It is about growing up, growing old and growing or not growing wise.

Tickets cost £4 for adults and £3 for concessions.

They are available From The Venue Box Office on 01908 677954.
