Webber Independent School ditches school uniform for jeans

Students and staff at The Webber Independent School swapped their smart suits, kilts and school trousers for jeans to raise money for charity last week.

The children raised £220 for the Jeans for Genes Charity which funds a range of initiatives that improve the quality of life for families and children affected by genetic disorders to fund extra care and support to transform children’s lives.

“I am very proud of our caring School community,” said school headmistress Mrs. Hilary Marsden.

“Our three to 18 year olds care passionately about making a positive contribution to our local and global community. Organizing this fundraising event is just one of the many ways that they demonstrate their Global Citizenship.”
