Hundreds of people feeling down in the dumps can receive free help thanks to a new community counselling service.

The West Bletchley Wellbeing Counselling Service was launched by a group of highly qualified volunteers.

Based at 221a Whaddon Way, the centre offers a range of counselling, therapy, development and training services for individuals, community groups and businesses.

Its flagship Community Counselling Service offers free-at-the-point-of delivery counselling to any resident who has an MK3 postcode.

Local GP surgeries and community groups have been briefed on the service and clients can self refer.

Many of the WBWB volunteers have worked in Milton Keynes for decades and between them have experience of helping with mediation, trauma, substance misuse, young people, domestic abuse and sexual assault.

The centre, provided by West Bletchley Town Council, has spaces for group meetings and workshops as well as four counselling rooms.
