What a lot they've got at Waterside Festival!
It's the time of year when revellers raise plenty of cheer on the lawns of Great Linford Manor for the annual success that is the Waterside Festival.
It is free, fabulous and one of the new city's biggest community events.
For the past ten years, local folks have been rolling up the picnic blankets, well the forward-thinking members of the community have, the rest of us simply make do, and head along to sample a festival rich in fun and family attractions.
If you are among them, you'll be pleased to hear it is very much business as usual this time around too.
Live music from a couple of fine city bands will signal the start tomorrow night, with Solstice and Equinox bring the rock, the alternative and the roots fused.
A programme of live sounds will keep music lovers happy throughout Saturday too.
Those needing name checks in the here and now are Bitter Suite, Jayne Christopher and Ian Stark, Debbie Nunn, Rock Chorus, Tombstone Bullets and Musclemobile.
You want more? You got it: Linda Watkins, Muchos Besos, Hot For Teacher, Harassing Anna and Soul Fever are all on board too.
A separate stage will be showcasing youngsters with a passion for music or poetry, so do make tracks to support the new breed during your visit.
In the courtyard at artworks-mk the theme will be decidedly Victorian for The Bicycle Basket Bazaar and a delicious mix of things handmade and vintage along with everything else – from cake to curiosities!
Artworks-mk will also blow the whistle for the 9.45am push-off of a 12 mile circular bicycle ride on Saturday morning – saddle up for the off.
Elsewhere it isn't a case of 'what have we got', but 'look at how much we've got!' with the MK Dons dribbling in, Korfball, junior footie matches, dancing displays, art workshops, craft stalls, charity stalls, fairground rides and the all essential bouncy castle!
Beautiful St Andrew's Church will host a full programme of its own, and a historical walk will reveal the intriguing past of one of the new city's prettiest spots.
Canine fans will want to be in the vicinity by midday on Sunday when the Dog Show makes the most welcome of returns.
Banish the blues, head to the Linford lights!
>>Admission is free, but you will pay a small fee to park at the event.Get up to date details at www.watersidefestival.co.uk
