A group of Wickes colleagues from Milton Keynes store organised a quiz night at the White House Hotel, raising over £700 for charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to help beat blood cancer.

The money raised will help fund life-saving research into better treatments and cures for leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Chris and co-organiser Mark decided to fundraise for the charity because they have seen the benefits that research can have with blood cancer patient. Chris said: “I really do value the work that LLR does and just want to help as much as I can.”

They both said: “This is a great cause; we completed some great fundraising events last year and we want to do as well, if not better, this year! Raising money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research means better treatments and cures for patients with blood cancer. The equation is simple, the more money raised equals more lives saved.”

Cathy Gilman, Chief Executive of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, said: “Our partnership with Wickes continues to be a brilliant success and we are so grateful for all the fundraising they are doing for us. All the money raised will go towards our vital research into better treatments and cures for blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.”
