A woman was punched in the face as two men stole her purse on Friday night.

The 20-year-old heard footsteps behind her as she stood in Myrtlebank, Stacey Bushes at 10.30pm.

When she turned around, the two men told her to hand over her phone and money.

As she tried to pull her purse away from them, one man grabbed it from her hand and stole the cash inside.

The other man then punched her in the face.

It is believed the offenders followed her from Costcutter store in Briar Hill.

The victim sustained facial injuries and was treated at Milton Keynes General Hospital. She has since been discharged.

The offender who stole the victim’s purse is white, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins, of athletic build, was clean shaven and had a tattoo of three stars on the right side of his neck.

He was wearing a black cotton Adidas tracksuit top and trousers which had white stripes down the side and a white Adidas logo on the front.

The other offender was older than the first, white, aged in his early to mid twenties, 6ft, slim, had a goatee beard and a lip bar in his upper lip which had a diamond stud. He had black dot tattoos on his left knuckles.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black Adidas hooded top which had a white logo on the right side of his chest, black tracksuit trousers and dark trainers.

He wore a black scarf over the bottom of his face, which he later removed.

PC Fred Ruffle said: “This was violent robbery of a young woman. It occurred after the victim visited the Costcutter store in Briar Hill before walking down Myrtlebank.

“It is possible the offenders may have followed her from here. I would like to speak to witnesses to the robbery or anyone who saw men acting suspiciously in the area at the time.”
