A woman was raped after a man forced his way into a home in MK yesterday afternoon.

Police are patrolling the area following the attack in Hutton Avenue, Oldbrook.

They warned incidents such as these are “incredibly rare”.

The offender is black and is thought to have been wearing dark clothes including a dark puffa-style jacket.

Superintendent Gill Wootton said: “I would like to reassure residents that incidents of this nature are incredibly rare and officers are working extremely hard to trace the offender and to protect the community following this incident.”

It is thought the offender pushed his way into the house at around 4pm, then fleed the scene on foot following the attack.

Detective Inspector Phil Hayes said: “We are in the very early stages of this investigation and we are working to establish exactly what occurred in the property in Oldbrook this afternoon.

“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and our priorities at this time are the welfare of the victim and to conduct a thorough investigation.
