A GARDEN centre is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ this month by offering customers free tea and coffee for a donation to the charity.
Wyevale Woburn Sands Garden Centre is inviting people to go along to a coffee morning it is hosting in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday, September 28 from 9am until 12noon.
Manager of the garden centre on Newport Road, Dominic Wright, said: “We are hosting the event as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, which is taking place nationwide.
“We will be providing free tea and coffee between 9am and 12noon and inviting customers to make a donation to the charity.
“We hope lots of people come along to the event and help us support this worthy cause.”
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s flagship event.
Last year, 51,000 people signed up to the coffee morning, raising a record £10million for the charity. This year Macmillan is hoping to raise even more money.
Head of Corporate Partnerships and Events at Macmillan Cancer Support, Charles Byrne, said: “We are very grateful for the support from Wyevale Woburn Sands Garden Centre.
“There are more than two million people in the UK living with cancer and every penny we raise will help us reach out to even more people who need our support.”
