Milton Keynes residents are invited to come along to a self esteem workshop called ‘Your Brilliant You’, being held in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The one-day workshop is taking place on 21st April 2012 at The Well at Willen in Milton Keynes and has been organised by Melody and Joe Cheal of the GWiz Learning Partnership. Spaces are still available and will need to be pre-booked. The valuable funds raised on the day will help local Marie Curie Nurses provide free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes.
Melody and Joe have spent the last twenty years researching why some people have a stronger sense of self esteem than others. They say that: “We know that people who have strong self esteem are happier, more content and are able to handle what life throws at them. They seem to have a greater sense of purpose and find meaning in what they do.”
As well as running workshops and courses in business for the last twenty years, Melody and Joe have also been involved in the personal development field. The couple wanted to share their findings with others, so they designed a unique workshop called Your Brilliant You. They also decided to run the event in aid of Marie Curie as they said: “We have worked with Marie Curie before and have heard from others about the amazing work they do, so we wanted to support them as a charity. The first ‘Your Brilliant You’ workshop ran in January and raised £1200.00. We’d like to top that amount!”
Many commented about the previous workshop that the day was made even better knowing that it was all in aid of such an excellent cause. A lady on the course said: “To have the benefit of helping the Marie Curie Charity makes this doubly worthwhile – I have personal reason to be grateful to their nurses and am glad to have a further practical way to say thank you – and opportunities to do more in the future – as ‘my brilliant me’!”
