A zumba class at Oxley Park Primary School has helped to raise £4,200 for Willen Hospice.
Yasmin Wilkinson, who runs Yasmin’s Zumba, organised a whole host of events during the last year to raise money for a wide range of charities.
Among the fun events was an outdoor zumbathon, planned to take place at the school last July. However, the weather put paid to that idea and the class had to be held indoors - not that it dampened anyone’s spirits.
Money has also been raised through ticket sales, raffles, and auctioning off some great prizes donated by city firms, like hot air balloon rides and a Ferrari driving experience.
On Friday, Yasmin gave a cheque for £4,240 to Willen Hospice via Florence the Cow.
