World cup winner Alan Ball was remembered in fitting fashion when the All-star England team ran out 4-2 winners in the Alan Ball Memorial Cup.
A near capacity crowd at Stadium:Mk saw his son Jimmy presented with the trophy by Geoff Hurst, after a deserved win over a World XI.

The World XI, including the likes of Toto Schillachi, Benito Carbone and Stefan Freund twice lead the game but eventually lost out to goals from Kevin Campbell, Les Ferdinand, Rob Lee and competition winner Mark Baker.

Also playing for the England side was MK Dons boss Paul Ince, Paul Merson as well as a host of celebs and TV stars including Danny Dyer, Frank Bruno and Angus Deaton.
