Milton Keynes UTA Taekwondo Club
July was an important month in the diary of Milton Keynes UTA Taekwondo Club.

Established by Constantino Cesar in January 1997 when there were just a handful of enthusiastic students, the club now boasts over 100, many having attained their black belts and, or won competitions ranging from small local events to major Internationals and World Championships.

Thanks to the dedication of the coach Constantino, many students have also attained instructor status and referee status enabling lessons to be offered daily throughout the year.

In recognition of this tremendous achievement and change in status the club re-launched on July 12 as Milton Keynes UTA Academy.

To mark this occasion a special squad training session was recently held with guest instructors Chan Sau, a member of the Great Britain National Team and World and Commonwealth Poomsae competitor, and Shawn Wright, British Kyrugi Champion from 2006 and now currently training in China.

At the end of the session the Academy was formally named and the new logo unveiled.

Later in the evening students and families joined together in a celebratory meal to round off a memorable day in the club's history.

If you are interested in training or would just like further information on the club visit their website at: www.mktkd.co.uk or call: 07710452628.
