BucksVision helps launch new braille menu at Milton Keynes restaurant
The independently owned restaurant has had its lunch, a la carte, drinks and dessert menus converted into braille, “We strongly believe in creating a restaurant that is comfortable and accessible to everyone,” said owner and manager, Mo Abdul.
“Whether you are in a wheelchair, are pushing a buggy or if you are visually impaired, a visit to Maaya should be a positive one.

Hide Ad“We would like to see more restaurants in Milton Keynes offering this service to make going out in our wonderful city open to everyone,” he added.
Visual impairment charity, BucksVision were invited to launch the new menu - and naturally tuck into the food too.
“I was delighted to have the opportunity of independently accessing the Braille menu at Maaya, a very rare opportunity for me as a totally blind person,” said Jeff Bashton, BucksVision volunteer and member.
“Any initiative that fosters social inclusion is always very welcome.”
