Missing Milton Keynes man: Police issue new appeal for information

Thames Valley Police is continuing to appeal for information to trace George Lanigan, who has now been missing

from his home in Tinkers Bridge for a month.

As part of the ongoing search, specialist search advisor officers have been in the Tinkers Bridge and Simpson areas of Milton Keynes today.

Officers have also been making enquiries in the area with local businesses and residents.

George, 58, is known to frequent The Moon Under Water at Xscape in Avebury Boulevard, Milton Keynes, and Fishermead, as well as Tinkers Bridge.

He is not thought to have left the Milton Keynes area since he went missing on Monday, June 6.

George is white, 5ft 11, medium build with grey hair.

He often wears a distinctive beanie hat and a sleeveless jacket.

“We would like to appeal to anyone with any information which could be relevant to contact police,” said Investigating officer PC Sarah Gayton, from Milton Keynes CID.

“We ask people to be particularly vigilant in the area of Olney, there have been possible unconfirmed sightings in this area of a male fitting a similar description. We would also request the same of any members of the public who regularly use the waterways between Olney in the north and Fenny Stratford in the south of MK.”
