Do you know the identity of these men?

Police are appealing for help to identify two men following a distraction theft at the home of elderly residents in Shenley Lodge.

Having made an offer of gardening work, three men said they needed to clean the patio, and charged an excessive amount of money.

One man asked to use the toilet and while in the property, stole cash from the bedroom.

“I am appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed this theft from an elderly couple or who can identify the offenders in these E-fit images,” said investigating officer Detective Constable Kate Combstock.

Residents should be warned not to agree to pay money to anyone who cold calls offering to do work, whether it be on the phone or at the door.”

The incident happened at around 4.40pm on Saturday, April 23rd. Two of the offenders are white, in their late teens or early 20’s. One wore orange trousers.

A white combo style van may also be associated with the offence.
