Local sprinter has big ambition
After sealing his place in the Great Britain team for this week's World Junior Championships, Bradville's Chris Clarke is setting his sights even higher – the 2012 London Games.

The Marshall Milton Keynes Athletic Club runner booked his place on the plane to Poland when he won the under 20 junior men's 400m at the England Athletics World Junior Trials.

And now that he's had a taste of successs, the 18-year-old is aiming high for the future.

"My ultimate aim from athletics has got to be representing my country at the 2012 London Olmypics," he said.

"But that's still four years away and I've got a lot of hard work to do before I can think about that, starting with the Junior Championships."

Chris flew out to Poland with the rest of team GB last weekend, with the Championships due to take place in the town of Bydgoszcz from July 8-13.
