FOUR of the MK Dons double-winning team have been named in the League Two Team of the Year.

Defenders Danny Swailes and Dean Lewington along with midfield pair Lloyd Dyer and Keith Andrews were named in a side that the Dons dominated.

The achievement is the icing on the cake for Paul Ince's men, who added the League Two title to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with a 2-1 victory over Bradford City at the weekend.

The four have all been in outstanding form this season and assistant manager Ray Mathias paid tribute to them, saying he was surprised that more of the side weren't included.

"There are some players who have had a fantastic season and are unfortunate not to be in the side, but we are still pleased for the four who are.

"It shows the strength of the side, the quality that we've got, and we are absolutely delighted.

"How Joe Lewis got in instead of Willy Gueret though I don't know. No disrespect to the lad, but Gueret has kept a lot more clean sheets than he has."

The award is one of the most prestigious in football as players are voted into the team by their fellow professionals.

And few arguments can be made about the four Dons players chosen.
Danny Swailes has been a superb addition to the Dons defence which has kept 21 clean sheets this season and is the meanest in the league.

The whole side has improved dramatically since his arrival from Macclesfield.

Lewington has been Mr Consistent at left back and is generally considered to be the best in the league, with this vote now confirming it.

And the midfield duo have also been simply unstoppable this season with skipper Andrews having scored 12 goals and pacey winger Dyer netting 11.
The rest of the PFA League Two Team of the Year includes: Joe Lewis (Peterborough), Craig Pead (Brentford), Stephen Foster (Darlington), Jason Puncheon (Barnet), George Boyd, (Peterborough), Jack Lester (Chesterfield) and Aaron McLean (Peterborough).
