MK DONS assistant manager Ray Mathias has remained coy over whether Paul Ince will put his boots on for one final game against Morecambe on Saturday.

Ince has joked this season that he has upped his own training in the hope of making an appearance for the Dons, should they have already secured promotion.

But he wouldn't confirm if he would make the squad when speaking after the game at Bradford.

And his right-hand-man isn't giving much away either.

"You never know what's in his mind, he hasn't signed a form yet so we don't know.
"He's been training throughout the year, but I'm sure he'll be looking at the players to go out and give a good performance for themselves first, and make sure they get the praise they deserve."

With the title already secured, the game has been billed as a party celebration, and the Dons have been working frantically to make sure the attendance lifts beyond its current 15,000 capacity.

And Mathias hopes as many people as possible can catch the game.

"I know we are trying with the police to get the capacity up and hopefully they will allow us to do that.

"I am sure that everyone in the city wants to get involved with the club at the moment as we're doing well, and hopefully that will help us get even better in the future."

One thing that could help Paul Ince's case for an appearance is Dons' current injury list, with Colin Cameron, Drissa Diallo, Gareth Edds, Paul Mitchell, Sam Baldock, Kevin Gallen and Carl Regan all struggling with knocks recently.

"If you look at our situation we have been down to our bare bones with just 16 or 17 players available," said Mathias.

Visitors Morecambe have little to play for, but Mathias still expects a tough game.

"Morecambe won't come here and lie down. They will look at this fantastic stadium they'll be playing in and they won't want to let themselves down, and I'm sure their manager will be emphasising that point."
