Paul Ince has paid tribute to his double winners after they wrapped up the League Two title at Bradford.
The Guv'nor has hailed his side's "perfect season" as they swept aside all challengers to secure the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and the championship.
He said: "For me it's been the perfect season. I couldn't have dreamt we'd have gone to Wembley, won promotion and ended up winning the title.
"But all credit must go to the players, they've been awesome. You make
demands of them and they keep coming up trumps.
"Today was a nervy game but if you'd offered me a 2-0 lead with the other team down to 10 men I'd have taken it all day long.
"It was one of those games but I don't care now, we got the three points and we can go and celebrate.
"Credit to Stuart McCall, he let us use the training ground yesterday, he bought me a bottle of champagne for getting promoted and they gave us the guard of honour before we went out.
"Hopefully next year they'll come up and Stuart will be the one with the champagne all over his head!"
