Steve Tucker takes over at New Bradwell
Former New Bradwell St Peter manager Steve Orchard claims he left the South Midlands League Club to 'concentrate on football matters'.

Orchard announced his intention to quit as boss after Peters' 1-0 league win at Cranfield earlier this month and now takes over as manager of United Counties League Division One side Whitworths.

After three years in charge at The Recreation Ground, Orchard felt he had 'taken the team as far as they could go'.

"I've cemented them in the top six but that's their limit without investment in the future," he said.

"I was left to do more work than any manager should have to and I just wanted to concentrate on the football again.

"Things didn't appear right when I was left to do every little thing. I can't help but feel they didn't see the best of me as their manager because of it.

"I wish them well but any new manager will get the same problems."

Steve Tucker has taken over as manager and was in charge for Saturday's
3-0 Berks and Bucks Cup win over Aylesbury Vale.

And Peters stormed to a 5-0 home victory over London Colney in their latest SML Division One match on Tuesday night, Peters leapfrogging over their opponents into sixth place in the table thanks to goals from Mick O'Farrell (2), Lee Coulter, Gary Davis and Lee White.

>> Newport Pagnell booked their place in the third round of the UCL KO Cup with a 2-1 home victory over Division One table toppers Eynesbury.

The Premier Division outfit took the lead on 17 minutes through Danny Nichols and doubled that advantage on 33 minutes thanks to Darren Lynch.

>> Stony Stratford, 4-2 winners over Olney in Saturday's county cup tie, had their scheduled Buckingham Charity Cup fixture at Ampthill on Tuesday postponed.

>> Mursley United moved into the third round of the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup with their 3-1 home win over Grendon Rangers.

Andre Brown put the home team two goals up but Grendon hit back in the second half before Brian Nixon came off the bench to make it 3-1.

>> Bletchley Town crashed out of the SML Division Two Cup on Saturday, beaten 2-1 by Tring Corinthians, Pete Geyton their scorer.
