One game remains
With just one game left in the Cherwell league Division Two, Milton Keynes Park find themselves only two points behind leaders Dinton.
Saturday saw them ease past Bledlow Ridge by 88 runs and Park must now either take two more points than Dinton from their remaining game on Saturday or rely on Buckingham surviving relegation from the Home Counties West if they are to be promoted.
Put into bat by Bledlow, Park's top order struggled on a slow track and found themselves on
50-6.
But a 57-run seventh wicket partnership between Ghufran Mohammed (52) and Alex Kilbey rebuilt their innings and an unbroken tenth wicket partnership of 52 between Kilbey (50 not out) and Mark Roberts saw Park post what would be a testing 177-9.
For the home side the pick of the bowlers was Paul Brezezcki who returned 4-55, with David Roberts picking up 5-71.
Buoyed by the tail wagging, Park set about Bledlow's batsmen with Mohammed clean-bowling Ridge skipper Keeping with the total on 17.
James Sprittles got his rewards for an excellent spell, picking up Ross Turner (23) leg before. This triggered a mini collapse as Mike Alston trapped Taylor, also leg before, and Sprittles (2-28) removed Roberts to leave Ridge on 38-4.
Wells' frustration saw him perish as Tim Chapman took a catch off Mohammed and when Brezezcki's leg stump was uprooted by the same bowler, Ridge were 57-6.
Park's pressure never let up and Alston had Stevens caught by Ed Packard at deep square-leg and when the returning Mohammed (4-34) bowled Rolfe Park were two wickets away from victory.
And they wasted no time in wrapping up the win with Alston picking up the final two scalps, Ridge dismissed for 89 and Alston finishing with 4-21.
