The Football Association of Wales have reacted angrily to Paul Ince's outburst in last week's Citizen claiming that John Toshack had shown the Dons a 'lack of respect.'

Ince blasted the Wales manager for picking striker Jermaine Easter in his squad for the friendly against Scotland and not giving him any game time, just as Dons were taking a 5-1 thrashing at Charlton.

But the Welsh governing body took exception to Ince's remarks, particuarly as the former England captain had already complained that his top scorer was played too much in a previous 2010 World Cup qualifying match against Liechtenstein back in October.

No official comment has been made, but one source at The FAW told the Citizen: "We're very aware that Paul Ince has complained again.

"As a former international himself you would have thought he might know a bit better than that.

"But there won't be any official response. We don't want to dignify his comments with a reply."

Ince had claimed Toshack was being disrespectful to the Dons by not giving Easter his ninth international cap in Wales' 3-0 triumpth against Scotland at the Cardiff City Stadium, saying: "He didn't even get on the pitch and that is an insult and a lack of respect to this football club.

"Missing players like Jamma who went to Wales and didn't even play is a lack of respect and I'm disgusted with the whole thing."

Fortunately for Ince and Toshack there are no more internationals on the horizon until Wales begin preparations for their 2012 European Championship qualifying campaign later next year.
