Town third with one game left
Wolverton Town were handed a 31-run defeat by promotion rivals Hanborough on Saturday, leaving Wolves in third place in the Cherwell league Division Three table.

They go into their last game of the season at home to Kingston Bagpuize well adrift of champions Sandford St Martin and 21 points behind second placed Hanborough.

The visitors were restricted to just 170 as Hakim Khan claimed impressive figures of 4-36 from 15 overs with Atif Akhlaq finishing with 2-9 off seven overs. For the visitors opener Sarvajith hit 49 but of the rest only Lovick with 70 and Rose with 17 reached double figures.

However, the total was enough with Wolves falling to 139 all out with Michael Baker once again the top scorer with 46. Kabir Arif made 26, Khan hit 24 and Rob Ford made 14 but again these were the only players into double figures as Rose took 3-29.
