PICTURED is Milton Keynes jet ski racer Dave Huddleston who won two races in the P1 AquaX Championship in the English Channel off Eastboure at the weekend.
Huddleston was back to his best in winning both P1 AquaX 250 Class encounters on his Kawasaki, while mixing it in the overall positions with the more powerful 300hp skis.
“The start was a complete nightmare with the chop and trying to keep the ski level was hard,” he said. “In fact it was pretty rough all the way through the race.
“I got up into fourth, third and then second at one point, so it was good to be in amongst the more powerful guys.”
Mat Shipley from Seaford used his local knowledge to score a brace of second places to keep a slender five-point lead over Huddleston at the top of the points table.
The next rounds of the championship take place in the Solent from the famous harbour at Cowes on August 25 and 26.
