THREE members of Milton Keynes Canoe Club have been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Freestyle Championships later this month.

Kimberlee Aldred, Ben Aldred and Paul King will all travel to Lienz in Austria to take part in the eagerly anticipated finals, each having high hopes of coming back with silverware around their necks.

Kimberlee, pictured above, is currently leading the way in the Junior Lady class in the UK, and came home fourth in the World Championships in Plattling, Germany last year.

Ben is also number one in his Men’s Squirt Boat class, and finished sixth overall in Germany.

Paul is top of the standings in C1 and OC1. He was ranked 15th in the C1 Freestyle Championships in 2011, and finished ninth in the Open Canadian event.

The competition in Austria takes place from Sunday June 24-30.
