FOLLOWING her recent medal success at the England Open Championships, Jodie Caller took her form on to the European stage when she competed in the Ukraine.

The 15-year-old went to compete in the European Cadet Cup in Kiev, which is one of seven European ranking tournaments, and went up against number one players from the likes of Russia, Turkey, Belarus and Poland.

But unfazed she did her country proud, losing just one of her six matches to earn a thoroughly deserved bronze medal, with her only loss coming against the eventual gold medal winner from the home nation, and only by a penalty.

Jodie had previously won English U20 gold and senior bronze, and now heads off to Portugal for her next European event, ahead of a trip to the Czech Republic and the European Cadet Championships in June.
