FOLLOWING her gold medal success at the British National Championships, Chloe Goudie continued her great form by winning her category at the European Cable Wakeboarding Championships in Toulouse.
The 17-year-old is a part time Instructor at WakeMK, and led the way from the start of the competition by qualifying first in her heat in the Junior Ladies category, putting her comfortably through to the final.
And she needed just her first of two runs to secure gold, winning by a massive margin and allowing her to celebrate on her final run.
This year, Chloe is competing in a different age category, moving from Girls, where she was crowned World Champion in 2011/2012, to Junior Ladies. But that has not hampered her success as she has since become Junior Ladies British National Champion in July.
Mark Robinson, owner of WakeMK on Willen Lake, said: “We’re very proud of what Chloe has achieved. She was dominant throughout the competition.
“It’s great to see all her hard training has paid off. We have some great talent at WakeMK and all are working hard to get Cable Wakeboarding into the 2020 Olympics.
“The sport has been shortlisted by the IOC and we shall hear next year to see if it has been selected.”
