Gold rush for city swimmers at end of season competition

CITY of Milton Keynes Swim Club hosted their annual End of Season meet at Bletchley Leisure Centre last weekend, with plenty of medals going to the home side.

As usual the event was very well attended by over 20 clubs and 280 swimmers from around the country, but CMK’s youngsters produced some superb performances as they set a host of new personal best times on their way to winning medals.

Gold went to Max Murphy (400m IM, 400 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 free), Matt Murray, (400 IM, 400 free), Sorcha Smith (400 free, 100 breast), Rory Dougall (100 free, 50 butterfly, 200 IM), Emma Joyce (100 back, 50 and 100 free plus 200 breast), Anya Wooliscroft (200 IM), Tasha Pike (200 IM), Jason Ashley (200 back, 400 and 200 free), Elliott Moulder (50 and 200 back).

Aaron Lee (100 and 200 back), Lucy Farmer (50 and 100 free, 50 and 200 back), Helen Odams (50 free, 100 and 200 breast plus 50 and 100 butterfly), Emily Jones (50 and 200 free, 100 IM, 50 breast, 50 butterfly), Bethany Barby (200 breats, 400 IM).

Tom Flaherty, (200 butterfly, 200 free), Sydney Wood (100 IM, 100 back, 200 butterfly), Joseph Yu (50 back), Christian Revell (400 and 200 free plus 100 and 200 IM), Chris Forshaw (100 back, 100 IM), Georgia Richardson (50 breats) and Miles McAuliffe (50 and 100 free plus 100 IM).
