A talented six-year-old boy is about to set the karting world alight as he prepares to take on racers almost twice his age this year.

Drew Davidson has been racing karts for less than a 12 months, but has already been picked up by a top team after being crowned the youngest ever ‘Bambino’ champion at Daytona in Milton Keynes.

Such was the speed of his rise to the top – having also picked up two more wins at Buckmore Park in Kent – the youngster from Tattenhoe has been snapped up by Ambition Motorsport to race in their own ‘Bambino Superstars’ programme.

The move will see him take on racers up to 11-years-old, but team boss Paul Janes is confident that there is a very bright future ahead for Drew.

“We plan to enhance his skills further to challenge some of the best drivers in the UK,” he said. “And being so young he will be at least two years ahead of his rivals.”
