THE Open University have four teams in the Milton Keynes Table Tennis League – and three of them are currently top of their respective divisions.

OU Pavilion are four points clear in Division One with five wins out of six so far this season – an 8-2 victory against Greenleys Warriors their latest success to keep them unbeaten.

OU Dragons are two points clear in Division Three with just one defeat in six games after their 7-3 victory over Newport Pagnell Lagondas, while OU Falcon have a four-point cushion at the top of Division Four with three wins and three draws to their name – Mursley Swifts holding them 5-5 last time out.

Woburn Sands Mosquitoes enjoyed a good 9-1 win against Padbury Night Owls in Division Three, while in Division Six Stony Stratford Crickets lost their first game of the season 8-2 to Respect Tigers.

In Division Seven, Respect Chaos defeated Little Horwood Destroyers 9-1. However, the one game that Destroyers did win proved to be a long and exciting one between Jay Jayasundra and Peter Nickoll. After losing the first two games, Peter eventually won the next three 29-27, 14-12, 13-11.

The Handicap Singles, Pot Luck Doubles, Hardbat and Nick Warton Trophy competitions of the League will take place on November 25 at the MK Table Tennis Centre in Kingston. More details available from Madeline Baxter at maddyb_23@hotmail.com
