Going from strength to strength: that is MKAA individual league third-round winner and series leader Bob ‘superstar’ Gale.

Notching a runaway win in Saturday’s Tear Drops 2 leg with 20-12-12 of bream on pole and pellet, he is now clear leader of the series on 53 points – six ahead of second-placed Kevin Osborne.

On the day Ernie Sattler made second spot with 14-2, while just one-and-a-half ounces spanned the next three with Mark Haynes on 8-5, Myles Phillips 8-4-8 and Osborne 8-3-8.

City lad Chris Lovelock most certainly filled his boots with Osprey on Arrans Lake, down in Essex...putting an incredible 620lb of carp on the scales! And, in an incredible match, runner-up Ed Blain had 580lb and Keiren Chavvder 499lb!

Gonefishin are storming MKAA’s ‘star-studded’ summer league – despite Furzton failing to yield big weights in Sunday’s third round

GF Red won on the day with 40 points, three clear of GF Blue as Black Horse totalled 33, Maver MK Red 26, and Team DATS 25...which leaves, with one round to go, ‘Blue riding high on 117, ‘Red on 102 and ‘Horse on 90.

‘Blue’s Darren Davis had top weight with 26-11 followed by team-mate Martin Greene 22-11, and Red’s Steve Wroe 21-14.

Unless he gets drynetted in the final round Ernie Sattler has as good as won DATS’ evening series.

Having clocked up 138 points, with Paul Chapman next up on 126. Tuesday’s Navvi canal leg was blitzed by Ernie (on yet ANOTHER end peg and 17-15 of skimmers) as Richard Marney had 6-7-8 and Chris Malia 5-8.

Nice fish are still coming out of Bradwell. Willards’ Sean had three tench to 6-4 Monday, Mark three to 7-10, and Redek an 8-4 bream. Moving to Bradwell canal Sean netted roach to a pound on hemp and caster.

Great Linford Tackle reports double-figure nets of tench, bream and roach coming from the Canal and Heron lakes. There are unconfirmed reports of a 6-3 chub from Olney’s Ouse.
