A DOZEN or so budding young city cyclist will race against the best the region has to offer from the end of September – not on the roads, but over whatever difficult terrain autumn and winter can throw at them.

Competing in the Central Region Cyclocross League which runs through to January, the Team MK cycling club riders will race over 10 rounds, including one at a place they know very well, the National Bowl in October.

The Team MK riders practice at the Bowl most weekends, and have enjoyed great success in the Cyclocross League in the past, last year winning U10 girls, U12 boys, U14 boys and U16 boys age group titles.

The team, which also competes in triathlon, duathlon, road racing and time trialling events, also has several members set to ride in the League’s adult competition.
