Athletes show form on roads

While Marshall Milton Keynes Athletic Club waits for the cross country season to ramp up, members are keeping in form on the roads.

Having a great boost in Chicago, Maria Calleia improved her Marathon best by a massif 23 minutes to 3h 36 m 22s finishing 6032nd.

Closer to home at the Abingdon Marathon Gary Blaber (M40) was 29th also with a PB of 2h 52m 20s, just behind in 33rd was Michael Kerrigan (M40) 2h 55m 01s with 144th Chris Nicholson (M40) 3h 15m 50s, 221st Neil Jones (M40) 3h 26m 04s and 371st Julie Jones (F45) 3h 47m 26s.

While at the Great Eastern Half Marathon in Peterborough Matt Clarke finished 66th taking 77m 21m with 114th Ian Lamb (M50) 81m 32s and 669th Kelvin Smith (M65) 97m 13s.

At the multi-terrain Ridgeway Run near Tring the Club’s a fine run saw him finish 8th Daniel Webber 59m 18s with 77th Russell Jones 71m 51s, 124th Diane Baldwin (1st F55) 75m 41s, 309th Alison Ray (F35) 87m 57s, 340th Karen Tincknell (F35) 90m 16s and 409th Malcolm Kidby (M45) 97m 22s.

Surprisingly there were only two Club members at the Ampthill Cross Country with Steve Herring finishing 6th (2nd M45) taking 32m 37s and 37th Paul Mason (2nd M60) 38m 47s.
