Debut race sends Distance Project to top of the table

MK Distance Project soared to the top of Division 2 after a strong performance in their first ever match Chiltern League XC series.

The newly formed club had more than 40 athletes turning out, and their performances on the course see them topping the table.

James Dowsett’s win in the U17s saw MKDP win overall, with Mintu Sidhu 5th, Marcus Lovell 6th, Charley Madgin 13th and Tim Mcelliogott 14th.

The senior men also had a strong team as they finished second led by Alex Gruen 2nd, Charles Wheeler 3rd, Alfred Yabsley 4th and George Wheeler 5th.

The clubs only current U15 boy Harry Legg performed well with seventh place.

The u13 Boys team were third overall thanks to Jack Ratcliffe in 11th, Jack Middleton 12th, Harley Mckenenzie 19th, Harry Caso 33rd and Kobi Birchmore in 34th.

U11 Boys team were ninth after Elias Saarup came 14th and Toby Sapwell 29th.

Senior women’s team were third after great performances from Dani Catterton in second and Emma Mears 4th and Alice Ritchie in 7th.

U17/20 women team were on the podium in second - Holly Jamieson 6th, Gemma Milne 11th ,Anna Kofed-Gregory 12th, Charlotte Cooke 14th, Jessica Nuttall 21st.

U15 Girls team were seventh - Hannah Lord 10th, Talia Caso 27th.

U13 Girls team were also a strong second - Lily Mae Smith 4th, Daisy Yabsley 7th, Annabel Sanders 14th, Nikita Kay 15th, Ella Nash 25th, Jessica Kempton 26th and Violet Scarborough 32nd.

The clubs only U11 Girl, Lily Ealing put in a great first performance in 5th.
