Marshall Milton Keynes Athletic Club’s Joey Duck was back on winning form for England at an Indoor International Meeting in Vienna taking the tape in 23.91sm for the 200m.
A few days later in Linz, Joey was 2nd in her 60m heat in 7.65s and 3rd in the 200m A Race taking 24.28s.
Also on top form in the London Indoor Games at Lee Valley, London was Laura Zialor, pictured, as she improved her club triple jump record to 11.50m to win the competition and move her to the top of the UK F17 Rankings.
The jump was even more impressive as it broke the club’s indoor record by 16cms.
At the same competition in the 60m heats Subomi Onanuga was 5th in 7.25s and 3rd in 7.32s and he was 2nd in the long lump with a leap of 5.97m.
While it was 4th for Elysia Marriott (F20) recording 8.19s in round one of the 60m and improved in round two for a personal best of 8.17s taking 5th. In the 200m heats there was a PB for 3rd placed Colin Carr (M20) in 25.92s and 3rd also for Elysia recording 27.74s while in the 800m Oli Lum (M20) was 4th in 2m 09.46s.
The cub’s top two female Pole Vaulters were also close to their best as Rachel Gibbens won the Senior competition clearing exactly four metres and F20 Emanuela Motta was 9th with a clearance of 3.10m.
In the M17 competition Lee Westley was 4th in his first 60m taking 7.32s and improved to 2nd in the next round with a PB of 7.25s.
Another PB came in the 200m for 4th placed James Mottram in 26.50s and did it again in the 400m, finishing 5th as he lowered his best to 60.09s while Kreston Edghill reduced his PB to 70.68s.
In the Long Jump it was 12th for Kreston as he leapt 4.45m and James took 4th in the triple jump clearing 10.71m.
For the F17 squad the 60m heats saw a 3rd for Ebony Carr taking 8.00s with wins for Lizzie Adam 8.33s and Casey Hodges 8.30s, in round two Ebony finished 5th but set a new PB of 7.96s as did 4th placed Casey 8.28s and Lizzie with another win in 8.32s.
The trio were in action again in the 200m with a win for Ebony taking 26.20s and 2nd places for Lizzie 26.98s and Casey setting another PB of 28.05s.
Yet another PB came in the 800m for 4th placed Meredith Kenton finishing in 2m 39.61s. F15 Rachel Oderinde lowered her 60m PB with 3rd in heat one setting her new record at 8.29s and then equalling it in round two while 7th Molly Adams ran 8.62s and 8.66s for 6th and 2nd Amber Evans crossed the line in round 0ne in 9.07s and won round two with a PB of 9.03s.
In the long jump Molly was 13th with a leap of 4.34m and it was 16th for Amber 4.14m. In Cardiff Rachel was 2nd at an Indoor Vaults Meeting clearing 3.95m.
The club also had three members competing at the British Universities Cross Country Championships in Stirling with Chad Lambert finishing 15th in the Men’s A Race with Liam Smith 71st in the B Race and Elle Roche 98th in the Women’s race.
On the roads at the Watford Half Marathon 15th placed Matt Clarke set a PB of 75m 46s and was also 1st M35 with 25th Daniel Webber (3rd M35) 77m 40s, 34th Stephen Green with a PB of 78m 44s, 56th Jeremy Vick (M35) 80m 59s, 62nd Gary Blaber (M40) 81m 17s, 73rd Michael Kerrigan (M40) 82m 02s, 91st Ian Lamb (M50) 83m 27s, 96th Wendy Webber (1st F35) 83m 40s, 120th Adrian Maidment with a PB of 85m 09s, 466th Kate Penrose (F35) 98m 43s and 880th Karen Tincknell (F35) with a PB of 1h 49m 26s.
