Lara leads the way for MK athletes

MMKAC’s senior athletes were involved in three off-road events.

Lara Bromilow has been first senior lady in the London Cross-Country Championships was last two years but this year had to settle for third place in her bid for a hat-trick of wins.

Steph McCall(South London Harriers) won in 22.31 with Phoebe Law(Kingston) runner-up(23.06) and Lara just 12-seconds down(23.18) in the bronze medal position.

Six MMKAC athletes competed in the Dirt Half-Marathon. Casper Zoeftig placed 31st(92.02), Neil Jones 43rd(94.43), Martin Erasmus 6th (98.29), Alexandra Tvarozkova 93rd (101.45), Sue Davey (103.39) and Julie Jones 153rd(108.45).

Seven seniors ran in the annual 10km Herberts Hole Cross-country race at Chesham.

Kevin Church led them home, 88th(53.19). Deborah Hindmarch finished 119th, 19th female overall/4th F55 with a time of 55.06. Jim Miller has run this race many times and placed 121st(57.02).

Arianna Pisetti ran 61.29 for 185th place and then there was a sprint finish between Vanessa Stride and Malcolm Kidby. Vanessa was given the nod, 219th as they shared a time of 66.22. Karen Bugai clocked 68.13(235th) with Hazel Cockerill, 243rd in 70.06.

The ladies finished 4th in the team race.
