Five other MMKAC athletes competed in the British Championships at Birmingham which included the trials for the World Championships being held in Beijing in August.
While Greg Rutherford was winning gold in the long jump competition, sprinters Joey Duck and Chris Clarke placed fourth in their respective 200m finals.
With the glut of top class British sprinters they would have had to better the qualifying standards of 23.20 and 20.50 Joey placed second in heat 2(23.70) and before going on to clock 23.89 for fourth in the final.
Likewise Chris was second in his heat(20.80) and then ran 20.91 for his fourth place in the final.
The three Curtis brothers must have made javelin history as a family entry but unfortunately all three were down on their bests.
Redford Curtis finished eighth throwing 58.90m, Jackson ninth with 57.25m and Freddie 10th with 56.96m
