Success for cross country trio

A quiet week for Marshall Milton Keynes Athletic Club was highlighted by three wins in the Hazeley Cross Country.

Representing Year 7 Boys over the 1.9km course Harrison Smith (Hazeley) finished 4th in 7m 32s with 8th James Dowsett (Stantonbury) 7m 34s, 9th James Palmer (Shenley Brook End) 7m 41s and 11th Finlay Gibbs (Oakgrove) 8m 06s. Finishing the Year 6/7 Girls’ 1.6km race in 1st was Montana Edghill (Oakgrove) 6m 21s followed by 4th Gemma Milne (Lord Grey) 6m 42s and 11th Kira Reeves (Hazeley) 7m 03s.

Another win came in the Year 8/9 Boys’ event over 2.85km though Harvey Green (Oakgrove) crossing the line in 9m 48s with guest runner Amy Radford (Y11 Thornton) 10m 20s, 4th Charley Madgin (Hazeley) 10m 38s, 6th Marcus Lovell (Oakgrove) 10m 54s, 7th Thomas Stringer (Oakgrove) 11m 07s and 11th Jody Watkins (Hazeley) 11m 45s.

Win number three came in the Year 8/9 Girls, 1.9km race as Emma Mears (Oakgrove) finished in 6m 36s ahead of 2nd Jess Nuttall (Hazeley) 6m 59s (Hazeley).

Two Club members completed the fast Amsterdam Marathon with Martin Erasmus 848th (M45) taking 90m 30s for the first half to finish in 3h 12m 00s with 1524th Fran Malin (F45) 1h 40m 11s at the half and 3h 23m 52s across the line.
