Thousands beat the streets in Festival of Running

Almost 4000 runners finished the annual Milton Keynes Festival of Running where from the four races, some 1300 finished the both the 10km and Half-Marathon.

Eliot Hind representing Leighton Buzzard AC won the 20 miler (819 finishers) with a time of 1:55.10. Jamie Seddon led the MMKAC contingent, 4th with a PB of 1:59.21. Both Mark Ryall(6th/2:01.11) and Dan Webber(8th/2:01.25) were just of their PB’s. Dan placed 3rd M40. Gary Blaber set a PB of 2:08.08 to place 19th and 5th M40. Tom Hayman smashed his PB by 6mins, 27th in 2:10.42 followed by Jeremy Vick(34th/2:13.30), David Moody(38th/2:14.10) and Ross Wood(2:17.02).

Next home was Wendy Webber, 55th overall but 2nd lady and 1st F35(2:17.51), Lynsey Ryall was 11th lady with a time of 2:33.47.Neil Jones closed in 106th(2:30.28), Steve Martin 116th(2:32.42) and Sioban Dyer ran 2:42.59.

Leading MMKAC finishers in the half-marathon were Steve Herring, 10th overall and 2nd M40 with 79.02. Ian Wood placed 17th(80.47), Andrew Kirschner(35th/82.44) and Simon Kirschner-Heavens(99th/93.30).

Liam Smith led the 10km runners, 4th overall(35.17), Ashley Berry was 2nd lady(39.32), Jack Comerford ran 42.04, Jason Carvalho clocked 42.44 and Russell Jones 43.08.
