Tuttle flies the flag for the team

There was less than the normally good turn out for Marshall Milton Keynes Athletic Club as they only managed to field one complete for the South of England AA Cross Country Championships at Parliament Hill Fields as the Senior Men finished 26th.

Leading the team home in a very creditable 47th around the very sticky and muddy course was Steve Tuttle finishing in 55m 26s. Next back claiming 157th spot was Graham Jones 60m 05s followed by 202nd Ross Threfall 61m 22s, 269th Jeremy Vick 63m s47, 466th Mark Palser 64m 51s, 541st Josh Lyman 70m 23s, 688th Mike Burling 74m 35s, 729th Kelvin Smith 76m 06s and 822nd Paul Mason 79m 51s.

For the Under 17 Men Louis Clarke was 41st in 22m 41s with 65th Owen Seamark 23m 23s and 99th Harry Morton 24m 16s.

The Under 15 Boys were brought home by 39th Daniel Hynes 17m 21s followed by 124th Harvey Green 18m 37s and 126th Jacob Tresham 18m 38s.

The best individual result came with 35th in the Senior Women’s race by Lara Bromilow 34m 33s wih 68th Wendy Webber 36m 0s and 237th Diane Baldwin 41m 33s.

The Under 17 Women had only 58th Amy Radford 23m 29s and 69th Sophia Hannelly 23m 52s competing.

Finally for theUnder 15 Girls Emma Mears was 54th in 16m 56s, with 122nd Sophie Botham 18m 12s and 181st Natalie Nurse 19m 16s.

At the Northants Schools Cross Country in Wellingborough for the Senior Girls there was a fine Bronze for Fern Yull whiloe younger sister Grace was 17th in the Intermediate Girls race and Jacob Tresham was 11th in the Intermediate Boys event.

On the roads at the Folksworth 15 mile race top veteran John Skelton (1st M60) was 56th overall with finishing time of 1h 43m 55s. while at the aptly named Brass Monkey Half Marathon in York Geoff New (M45) was 491st in 96m 58s.
