Cats show no fear of Sharkbites

The Oly Cats continued their fine start to 2015 with a 28-24 triumph at Coventry Sharkbite in Sunday afternoon’s Midlands Regional Development League clash.

Bobby White’s side went into the match having faced both Loughborough’s first and second teams over the past fortnight, defeating the 2nds before impressing again in last weekend’s narrow 24-22 defeat to the first-team.

Ben Howard kept up his hot streak in front of goal by finding the net six times, while Krystian Olszanski and Oli Sutcliffe also fired home double hat-tricks as a lethal Oly Cats attack left their mark on the hosts.

Sharkbite refused to lie-down and remained within touching distance of pulling level, but White’s side were just too strong throughout the duration of the match, and held on for victory.

The win kept Oly Cats third in the Midlands Regional Development League with five games remaining, four points behind Warwick and Loughborough, who are level at the top of the table.
