Nidamanuru is the hero as Stony Stratford see off Horton

Stony Stratford moved up to eighth in the Northants League Premier Division after a fine bowling performance to leap-frog Horton House.

Despite losing opener James Pickles early with just 8 on the scoreboard, Teja Nidamanuru got the home side going with a fine 76 to add to his century last week.

There weren’t many others in the Stony line-up contributing to the scorecard, but they managed to reach 207 all out.

Nidamanuru was the man with the ball as well for Stony, taking 4-37 as Horton House struggled to make inroads.

With only four batsmen reaching double figures, Horton were never likely to threaten Stony for the win, and were eventually bowled out for 137.

Next week, Stony travel to Brixworth, a side just 18 points above them.
