North Crawley’s bowlers took centre stage this week as they skittled Milton Keynes to maintain top spot in Division 1.

Steve Sharpe took 4-42 as the reigning champions reduced the home side to just 100, with just three batsmen making double figures.

Matt Goss top scored with 63 not out in the reply as Richard Bryce’s side reached the total (101-1) in 16 overs.

New Bradwell suffered a similar fate against Eaton Bray. James Flecknell hit 101 for Bray as they set 211. New Bradwell were quickly back in the pavilion for just 112.

Neil Gordon’s excellent 110 helped MK to a winning draw against New City. Gordon’s partnership with David Garner (81) formed an MKCC record breaking 165 for the third wicket as they set 263-5. But despite Kaushik Sunkara’s 4-35, they couldn’t take the decisive wicket as New City came in on 181-9.

In Division 2, Newport Pagnell’s (42) woes continued as they were crushed by Aspley Guise (150-9).

Old Bradwell (178-4) beat Milton Bryan (175), North Crawley 2nds (264-6) won by four wickets over Eggington Foresters 2nds (206) and Olney Town (173-5) beat Cranfield Uni (172).

In Division 3, Shenley Church End (164-4) beat Caddington (163-8) by six wickets and Printers (189) beat Pitstone & Ivinghoe (81) by 108 runs. Open University were hammered by Harlington after being bowled out for just 34, while Westcroft and Luton Caribbean ended in a tie as Luton’s Raphael Barnard was run out with both sides on 123.

In Division 4, Zaheer Khan’s 147 not out and fifer for skipper Haroon Butt lead Westcroft 2nds (224-8) to a comfortable win over Eggington 2nds (131).

New City 2nds’ (199-0) openers Sharad Dave (43 not out) and Adil Umer (106 not out) dominated against MK 2nds (195-8), while Wilden (216-4) beat Olney 2nds (89).

Great Brickhill 3rds (166) beat North Crawley 3rds (70) in Division 5, MK City 2nds lost to Edlesborough and New Bradwell 2nds (180-9) drew with Eaton Bray 2nds (120-9).

Little Horwood’s 103-9 was enough to beat Newport Pagnell 2nds (95) in Division 6, while Old Bradwell 2nds (77) lost to Soulbury (170-7).

In Division 7, Bletchley 3rds (192-6) drew with Wolverton 3rds (158-9), New City 3rds (45) lost to Edlesborough 2nds (214-2) and Printers 2nds beat Pitstone & Ivinghoe.
