Wolverton struggle to put runs on the board
Wolverton Town are bottom of Cherwell League Division 2 after a disappointing batting performance against Oxford & Bletchingdon.
While Atif Aklhaq top scored once again with 55 but wasn’t given much support by his team-mates as Wolves were all out for 159.
Idrees Butt did a fine job with the ball in hand, taking 5-43 from his 20 overs, but it was a futile effort as they simply didn’t have enough runs to defend as Oxford (160-6) made it home with four wickets in hand.
