Riders from MK BMX took to the track in Royston at the weekend for the final round of the East Regions Winter Series.
In the 7 and unders, Owen Putland, Barney Devereux and Finlay Davies rode well, with Finlay making the B-final. Owen crossed the line fourth in the A-final, but Barney’s third place meant he won the series overall.
James Payne Fraser, racing in the 8-9s race, finished third after a crash in front of him, meaning he finished second overall.
In the 12-13 race, Toby Lachlan, pictured above, finished fifth on the day, but it was enough to secure the title.
Austin Lachlan finished second overall in the 14-16 series with a series of top finishes.
In the Masters, Nick Hill won the series in style.
In the 9-10 girls, Zara Lachan made it a great afternoon for the family as she took second overall .
In the girls’ 17+ race, Izzy Ferrada raced to an easy victory, giving riders a sign of what to expect next season.
In the 17+ Cruisers, MK took up six of the nine places. Spencer Cremin returned to racing to take the win with Lennie Warner making a good account of himself to finish fifth in the overall standings. MK’s Paul Mounsley finished fourth overall, Sarah Fuller was third, and Phil Grey was second.
