Fixture congestion hampering MK Knights’ league campaign

It has been a frustrating week for MK Knights after they suffered yet more cancellations because of the rain.

Due to the weather conditions on Sunday June 31, Mildenhall have now scheduled a double header for Thursday July 17, riding against both Cradley and Scunthorpe leaving no room for Knights to fulfil their home fixture against Castleford.

To make matters worse the meeting on Sunday July 6 against Rye House at Mildenhall was postponed due to lack of riders - Knights and Rye House being effected by the lack of available riders.

Knights now face a fixture headache as they now have to fit in three home meetings with only one available date at West Row and they must complete all of their league fixtures before the league deadline at the end of August.

Knights are working closely with the league, Mildenhall promotion and the other teams to find a solution to the problem.

Knights are next on track on Sunday July 20 against Buxton.
